The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. ŞimşekSpor FK were furious when Ahmet Tolga Çinuçin was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Enes Dilsaz had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Bünyamin Özoğuz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the ŞimşekSpor FK defense, Bünyamin Özoğuz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enes Dilsaz. The ŞimşekSpor FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enes Dilsaz should have stopped the shot. Gürkan Şenol got in the 13th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Enes Dilsaz handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Enes Dilsaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olcay Kutel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Düzce FK's Olcay Kutel got a free kick in the 18th minute. Ali Galip Oğuzbala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ŞimşekSpor FK's Enes Dilsaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürkan Şenol in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Ali Galip Oğuzbala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ŞimşekSpor FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Galip Oğuzbala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ŞimşekSpor FK's Hayati Özan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 40th minute Hayati Özan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Başaran Şentürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tevfik Kumukbay kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Bünyamin Özoğuz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Özgün Akduman made a kick off. Enes Dilsaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özgün Akduman in the 52nd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, ŞimşekSpor FK's goal looked a bit too open when Özgün Akduman came free, but Enes Dilsaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Gürkan Şenol made a precise shot to the right of Enes Dilsaz. ŞimşekSpor FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Gürkan Şenols short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Enes Dilsaz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 72 played minutes ŞimşekSpor FK got a freekick which was hit by Abayhan Özdoru. If Hayati Özan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hayati Özan came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the ŞimşekSpor FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hayati Özan couldn't finish the play. Başaran Şentürk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hayati Özan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Ali Galip Oğuzbala put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Başaran Şentürk.
