Bora Bilgetay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Yedisu got a freekick which was hit by Abdurrahman Aktay. After having played for 24 minutes, Zeynel Çokman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reyhanli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeynel Çokman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Ahmet Ceyhan Durhal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reyhanli's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Ceyhan Durhal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bora Bilgetay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kuddusî Orak's late challenge caught a Reyhanli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Ahmet Ceyhan Durhal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Bora Bilgetay made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
