Gümüssuyu's Devlet Uruç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Gümüssuyu from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute Erkan Ağın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulbaki Orkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Poyraz Kazakhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Erkan Ağın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mustafa Oğuz Adal to make the kick off. When Hakkı Deniz Uralp fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gümüssuyu's protests and gave Hakkı Deniz Uralp a yellow card for diving instead. If Koray Sezgi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. When Gümüssuyu's Erkan Ağın in 72 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Abdulbaki Orkan guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Erkan Ağın managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gümüssuyu's supporters rose to their feet, but Erkan Ağın was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdulbaki Orkan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute, Gümüssuyu's Poyraz Kazakhan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 80 minutes in the game, Poyraz Kazakhan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Abdulbaki Orkan having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Mustafa Oğuz Adal made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gümüssuyu's Devlet Uruç tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Koray Sezgi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Devlet Uruç. Gümüssuyu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Koray Sezgi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After 87 played minutes Yesilköy got a freekick which was hit by Alkın Eyüpoğlu. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Erkan Ağın put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Abdulbaki Orkan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Oğuz Adal in the 93rd minute of play forced Gümüssuyu's goalkeeper Devlet Uruç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mustafa Oğuz Adal came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Yesilköy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustafa Oğuz Adal couldn't finish the play. The Yesilköy players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
