Yücel Mengücek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yücel Mengücek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karadeniz Akşit in the 9th minute of play. Yücel Mengücek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karadeniz Akşit in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aşık Mithat in the 15th minute of play forced Mihaliccik's goalkeeper Yücel Mengücek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mihaliccik getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Emin Bekiroğlu hit a great ball. When Gökalp Sezmen came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Mihaliccik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gökalp Sezmen couldn't finish the play. After 33 played minutes, Mihaliccik's Alim Sezal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Berker Yorgun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mihaliccik reached it. In the 33rd minute, Tahsin Yalvaç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes of play, Gelibolu's Aşık Mithat made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aşık Mithat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karadeniz Akşit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Yücel Mengücek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Aşık Mithat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Yücel Mengücek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gökalp Sezmen was the one to do the kick off. Aşık Mithat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Yücel Mengücek made a huge save. Gökalp Sezmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berker Yorgun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asım Arif Adaş in the 60th minute of play. Mihaliccik's Yücel Mengücek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aşık Mithat in the 67th minute of play. Hüsnü Kani kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Berker Yorgun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökalp Sezmen in the 73rd minute of play. If Aşık Mithat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Mihaliccik's Hüsnü Kani got a free kick in the 78th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Mihaliccik's goalkeeper Yücel Mengücek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karadeniz Akşit. Aşık Mithat was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Karadeniz Akşit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yücel Mengücek having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aşık Mithat in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yücel Mengücek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karadeniz Akşit struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Yücel Mengücek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gelibolu. After a defensive mix-up in Mihaliccik's zone, Aşık Mithat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yücel Mengücek came out of the goal and Aşık Mithat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gelibolu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
