The BayburtSpor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fahrettin Ünal should have stopped the shot. If Gazi Özarı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ersin Cengaver sped through BayburtSpor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fahrettin Ünal. Fahrettin Ünal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Erhun Okseven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Battal Seyyit Tunçkaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. İldeniz Tokdemir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Çorum gençlik spor's Erhun Okseven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İldeniz Tokdemir in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Günalp Talat collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. 39 minutes into the game, Boğaç Mennan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Çorum gençlik spor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BayburtSpor the free kick. The supporters of BayburtSpor booed when Çorum gençlik spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boğaç Mennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fahrettin Ünal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ersin Cengaver's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ünal Demirağ was the one to do the kick off.
