The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eralp Ersed didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tayyip Battal went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Tayyip Battal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Eralp Ersed when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eralp Ersed was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Şinasi Işılay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, İzzettin Böke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gayrettepe SK's supporters rose to their feet, but İzzettin Böke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bünyamin Ünal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If İzzettin Böke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. Bünyamin Ünal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tayyip Battal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Eralp Ersed made a huge save. Şinasi Işılay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Eralp Ersed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tayyar Akalın missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 33 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Eralp Ersed right hand side. Karakocan's Tayyip Battal got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eralp Ersed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şinasi Işılay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tayyip Battal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eralp Ersed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şinasi Işılay in the 58th minute of play. Tayyar Akalın's late challenge caught a Gayrettepe SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tayyar Akalın helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th minute, Tayyar Akalın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If İzzettin Böke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tayyip Battal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Şinasi Işılay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karakocan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. There was no doubt that Karakocan were the better team. Karakocan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
