Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cevat Kutlay started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Sakaryaspor's Cevat Kutlay slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kılıç Esenboğa. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. In the 18th minute, Ahmet Hasan Ünzil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cevat Kutlay's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Kılıç Esenboğa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kılıç Esenboğa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nihat İlham in the 21st minute. In the 24thth minute of the game Cevat Kutlay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kaynarca's Kılıç Esenboğa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaynarca's goalkeeper Kılıç Esenboğa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Cevat Kutlay fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kılıç Esenboğa, passed just outside the right post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sakaryaspor fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in Kaynarca's zone, Nihat İlham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kılıç Esenboğa came out of the goal and Nihat İlham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Cevat Kutlay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kılıç Esenboğa was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After 40 minutes, Lütfü Sav mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kaynarca and the Sakaryaspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kaynarca's Lütfü Sav got a free kick in the 40th minute. Rüstem Turan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Hasan Ünzil's late challenge caught a Kaynarca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Hasan Ünzil helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sakaryaspor's Ahmet Hasan Ünzil got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th match minute, Sakaryaspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menderes Selil to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ahmet Boran İmam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karhan Özerhan in the 52nd minute of play. Mustafa Ekrem Usman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kılıç Esenboğa. Kaynarca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Sakaryaspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nihat İlham to maneuver through the defense. When Sakaryaspor's Cevat Kutlay in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kaynarca's goalie prevented a goal. In the 68th minute, Cevat Kutlay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Kaynarca's Tümer Maksut got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Cevat Kutlay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kılıç Esenboğa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Ahmet Boran İmam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rüstem Turan in the 74th minute. Menderes Selil hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Karhan Özerhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Öztürk Turbay during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Sakaryaspor got a freekick which was hit by Öztürk Turbay. Karhan Özerhan struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ahmet Boran İmam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kaynarca. Kılıç Esenboğa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nihat İlham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sakaryaspor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
