Konya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Köstence SK the free kick. Enginalp Seyran hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Konya's Battal Seyyit Taşkınay tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Atilla İpekçi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alp Özkutsal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Yavuz Selim Tuğyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orhan Seyfi Daman kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Atilla İpekçi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alp Özkutsal, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute Tugay İlter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nebi Başat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Behiç Onultan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Köstence SK's Nebi Başat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tugay İlter in the 35th minute of play. The Köstence SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nebi Başat should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tugay İlter in the 69th minute of play forced Köstence SK's goalkeeper Nebi Başat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Köstence SK's Nebi Başat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tugay İlter in the 75th minute of play.
