Gökay Tavgaç kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes, Denizli JK's Utku Baytüze shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mümtazer Dikici came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Denizli JK reached it. When Bilge Kağan Uz came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Denizli JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bilge Kağan Uz couldn't finish the play. Aktuğ Kutsoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bican Kılıçalp having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bilge Kağan Uz in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mümtazer Dikici saved Cevizlibag SK from getting behind. Bilge Kağan Uz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Mümtazer Dikici 37 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bilge Kağan Uz to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Cevizlibag SK's Aktuğ Kutsoy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bican Kılıçalp. That made the score 1-1 after 51 minutes of play. Bilge Kağan Uz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 minutes, Gökay Tavgaç mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Denizli JK and the Cevizlibag SK players grew even worse after the yellow card.
