Şeray Budak did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Suphi İsmet 20 minutes into the match. Mehmet Bedri Yasun charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mehmet Bedri Yasun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Antalya got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Bedri Yasun. Diyarbakir's Mirza Şahbey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şenel Çetintürk in the 35th minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, Antalya's Şenel Çetintürk made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mirza Şahbey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Şenel Çetintürk was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Rafet Sertuğ got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Yıldıray Ceri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şeray Budak in the 60th minute of play forced Antalya's goalkeeper Suphi İsmet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Diyarbakir booed when Antalya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fethi Akad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 played minutes Antalya got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Bedri Yasun. Suphi İsmet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şeray Budak, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şeray Budak in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Suphi İsmet saved Antalya from getting behind. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Şeray Budak sped through Antalya's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Suphi İsmet. Şenel Çetintürk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ali Erdem Dizdar fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Antalya's protests and gave Ali Erdem Dizdar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Ali Erdem Dizdar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute of the match Zeynel Olgaç sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Suphi İsmet skillfully saved the ball. Rafet Sertuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yıldıray Ceri couldn't finish the play. The Antalya players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Diyarbakir from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
