Cemal Kongar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şenel Çetintürk's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Ahmet Yahya Taykoç struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Suphi İsmet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sima spor. Şenel Çetintürk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cemal Kongar having to make a save. Rafet Sertuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafet Sertuğ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cemal Kongar having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erhan Acunalp made a kick off. Erhan Acunalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Suphi İsmet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Yahya Taykoç in the 58th minute.
