Ilgaz Ünlü spun around in front of the goal 16 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Kiraz's goal. Ilgaz Ünlü fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vedat Mutluay having to interfere. In the 24th minute of the match, Baransel Adalı got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vedat Mutluay was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Kiraz booed when Izmit FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duran Onaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duran Onaran during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Necat Tokcan to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Necat Tokcan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving İsa Erginsoy. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Izmit FK's goalkeeper İsa Erginsoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Necat Tokcan. 74 minutes into the match, Izmit FK's goal looked a bit too open when Rahim Ahi came free, but İsa Erginsoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İsa Erginsoy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Necat Tokcan in the 79th minute. 2-1 became the score in the 80th minute when Ilgaz Ünlü elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rahim Ahi in the 87th minute of play forced Izmit FK's goalkeeper İsa Erginsoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
