Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Süruri Sanih took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Izmit FK getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Hayati Ergümen hit a great ball. Süruri Sanih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İsa Erginsoy having to interfere. Rıfkı Yasık received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. İsa Erginsoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ilgaz Ünlü kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nurkan Binışık. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. If Rıfkı Yasık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 played minutes Esentepe SK got a freekick which was hit by Arslan Uzgoren. In the 22nd minute Rıfkı Yasık shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İsa Erginsoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. İrfan Korkut took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised İsa Erginsoy. İsa Erginsoy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Izmit FK's zone, Arslan Uzgoren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İsa Erginsoy came out of the goal and Arslan Uzgoren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lütfi Malik came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Esentepe SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lütfi Malik couldn't finish the play. Arslan Uzgoren's late challenge caught a Izmit FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arslan Uzgoren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Arslan Uzgoren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilgaz Ünlü in the 45th minute of play forced Esentepe SK's goalkeeper Nurkan Binışık to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Nurkan Binışık managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Izmit FK's Baransel Adalı fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 48th match minute, Esentepe SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arslan Uzgoren to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ilgaz Ünlü to strike the kick off in the second half. Nurkan Binışık showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baransel Adalı in the 54th minute of the match. Esentepe SK's Nurkan Binışık played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baransel Adalı in the 58th minute of play. Hasan Çolakoğlu lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 64th minute, one of Esentepe SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Esentepe SK. The referee gave Izmit FK a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fahri Şerefhan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Esentepe SK's Nurkan Binışık. 2-1. Baransel Adalı took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nurkan Binışık. Nurkan Binışık dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. İsa Erginsoy made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Rıfkı Yasık sent off a good shot on target. Esentepe SK's Nurkan Binışık played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilgaz Ünlü in the 85th minute of play. If Rıfkı Yasık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İrfan Korkut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. İsa Erginsoy came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Esentepe SK's Arslan Uzgoren. But to his dismay, Arslan Uzgoren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Arslan Uzgoren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İsa Erginsoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. İsa Erginsoy made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Rıfkı Yasık sent off a good shot on target. 101 minutes into the game, Baransel Adalı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Izmit FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esentepe SK the free kick. In the 101st minute, Baransel Adalı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, Izmit FK could leave the field as winners, despite Esentepe SK having more of the ball for most of the match.
