The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Izmit FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilgaz Ünlü to maneuver through the defense. ARSLAN KRAL's Tahsin Hünkar got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Duran Onaran kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Cafer Açıker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. İsa Erginsoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 9 minutes into the game, when Atalan Paye put in a rough tackle. In the 8th minute, one of Izmit FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Izmit FK. Tahsin Hünkar scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of İsa Erginsoy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th match minute, Izmit FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdi Saygın İltay to maneuver through the defense. When ARSLAN KRAL's Cafer Açıker in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a left leg İsa Erginsoy saved Izmit FK from getting behind. Hayati Ergümen's late challenge caught a ARSLAN KRAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hayati Ergümen helped the player get up and apologised. Hayati Ergümen hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Baransel Adalı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 minutes, Abdi Saygın İltay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Izmit FK and the ARSLAN KRAL players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Izmit FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdi Saygın İltay to maneuver through the defense. After 29 played minutes, ARSLAN KRAL's Fang Wei shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper İsa Erginsoy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ARSLAN KRAL reached it. 31 minutes into the match, ARSLAN KRAL's goal looked a bit too open when Baransel Adalı came free, but Yusuf İrem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yusuf İrem was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Duran Onaran showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 39 minute of play. Baransel Adalı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Izmit FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ARSLAN KRAL were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cafer Açıker was the one to do the kick off. Yusuf İrem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baransel Adalı in the 51st minute of the match. Fang Wei's late challenge caught a Izmit FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fang Wei helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ARSLAN KRAL's Fang Wei got a free kick in the 52nd minute. ARSLAN KRAL's Özden Alan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by İsa Erginsoy but with some difficulty. After a defensive mix-up in Izmit FK's zone, Tahsin Hünkar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İsa Erginsoy came out of the goal and Tahsin Hünkar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Izmit FK's İsa Erginsoy got control of the ball when Cafer Açıker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baransel Adalı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Yusuf İrem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yusuf İrem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baransel Adalı, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Hayati Ergümen might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yusuf İrem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hayati Ergümen ran back to his position shaking his head. If Songur Akoğul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Izmit FK's İsa Erginsoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Izmit FK from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Hayati Ergümen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Nabi Tuney's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yusuf İrem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the match, Cafer Açıker got a very nice opportunity to score, but İsa Erginsoy was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cafer Açıker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. İsa Erginsoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Songur Akoğul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yusuf İrem having to interfere. If Ali Nabi Tuney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Izmit FK lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
