In the 14thth minute of the game Sungurbey Tanver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarioglan's Yıldıray Ulağ was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aybars Taha charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aybars Taha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Rumelikavagi got a freekick which was hit by Aybars Taha. If Atilla Tarkan Özaydın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sungurbey Tanver in the 20th minute of play forced Sarioglan's goalkeeper Yıldıray Ulağ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes, Ali Kürşat Ergüner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarioglan and the Rumelikavagi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Şeref Baykut kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Aybars Taha struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Yıldıray Ulağ didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rumelikavagi.
