With a little luck, Diyarbakir's Orkun Dikici got control of the ball when Derviş Güleç tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Mantar FC's Orkun Dikici threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Turgut Özerhan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Diyarbakir's Orkun Dikici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turgut Özerhan in the 7th minute of play. İskender Muammer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bektaş Veli Akbilge, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Diyarbakir's Reha Türemen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. İskender Muammer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute, Reha Türemen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diyarbakir fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 22nd minute of the match Gafur Yalınay sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but İskender Muammer skillfully saved the ball. Bektaş Veli Akbilge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without İskender Muammer having to make a save. After 25 played minutes Diyarbakir got a freekick which was hit by Erdi Saatçi. In the 28th minute, Ulvi Orus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mantar FC's goalkeeper İskender Muammer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Reha Türemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reha Türemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İskender Muammer having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reha Türemen in the 41st minute of play forced Mantar FC's goalkeeper İskender Muammer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Bektaş Veli Akbilge notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Mantar FC's İskender Muammer. İskender Muammer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bektaş Veli Akbilge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Mantar FC's zone, Reha Türemen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İskender Muammer came out of the goal and Reha Türemen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bektaş Veli Akbilge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İskender Muammer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. İskender Muammer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bektaş Veli Akbilge in the 60th minute of play. After 64 minutes Diyarbakir's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erberk Sanak who took care of the corner kick. İskender Muammer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bektaş Veli Akbilge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orkun Dikici took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derviş Güleç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Diyarbakir booed when Mantar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yahya Kemal Eskicioğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aral Özdinç couldn't finish the play. When Bektaş Veli Akbilge, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 88 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The İskender Muammer was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Reha Türemen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but İskender Muammer made a huge save. Bektaş Veli Akbilge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. İskender Muammer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Diyarbakir could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mantar FC throughout the match.
