Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Atabek Raid got the match started through his kick off. Ahmet Hasan Uzsoy hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 6th match minute, Halfeti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Behzat Senih to maneuver through the defense. Deniz Yalazalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fevzi Müslim having to interfere. Aygün Özekan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Metehan Soysal in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Mersin SK booed when Halfeti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Çağrı Karadeniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Ali Kürşat Özgenalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Behzat Senih received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fevzi Müslim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Atabek Raid in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fevzi Müslim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Halfeti! Aygün Özekan had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Ahmet Hasan Uzsoy's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Ali Kürşat Özgenalp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aygün Özekan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Mersin SK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Metehan Soysal made the kick off in the second half. Deniz Yalazalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Fevzi Müslim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Mersin SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vecdi Akpınar to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Deniz Yalazalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Halfeti's Atabek Raid got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Halfeti's Aygün Özekan got control of the ball when Ali Kürşat Özgenalp tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Atabek Raid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Halfeti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atabek Raid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ahmet Rıfat Özerk's late challenge caught a Halfeti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Rıfat Özerk helped the player get up and apologised. Halfeti's Deniz Yalazalp managed to work through Mersin SK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Deniz Yalazalp dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ali Kürşat Özgenalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Metehan Soysal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aygün Özekan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aygün Özekan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Kürşat Özgenalp in the 95th minute. Mersin SK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
