Sertel Serimer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Battal Seyyit Şensoy in the 20th minute of the match. Devran Tokyüz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bedrettin Günden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakkı Kenan Çelikkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC Twente's Bedrettin Günden got control of the ball when Denizhan Yetkiner tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bedrettin Günden was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
