In the 13th match minute, FC Twente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Okaner Tugal to maneuver through the defense. Nizam Oskay might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bedrettin Günden. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nizam Oskay ran back to his position shaking his head. Özbek Bilen hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Devran Tokyüz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nizam Oskay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enis Behiç Erdem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kartal Öğeturk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Battal Seyyit Şensoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Devran Tokyüz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gökceyazi JK's goalkeeper Kartal Öğeturk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Enis Behiç Erdem's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bedrettin Günden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Nizam Oskay made the kick off in the second half. Rahman Elhan charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rahman Elhan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of FC Twente:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gökceyazi JK:s goal. 66 minutes into the match, FC Twente's goalkeeper Bedrettin Günden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enis Behiç Erdem. In the 67th minute, Gökceyazi JK's Nizam Oskay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bedrettin Günden. Bedrettin Günden yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Cemal Türkol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Kartal Öğeturk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Battal Seyyit Şensoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kartal Öğeturk having to interfere. Enis Behiç Erdem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedrettin Günden having to interfere. If Enis Behiç Erdem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Enis Behiç Erdem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gökceyazi JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Enis Behiç Erdem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bedrettin Günden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FC Twente getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Mahmut Satılmış hit a great ball. FC Twente's Bedrettin Günden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nizam Oskay in the 87th minute of play. If Battal Seyyit Şensoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Devran Tokyüz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kartal Öğeturk came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Twente's Battal Seyyit Şensoy. But to his dismay, Battal Seyyit Şensoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Battal Seyyit Şensoy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kartal Öğeturk was relentless in the 99th minute of the game. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
