Nusret Şükür charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nusret Şükür the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nusret Şükür hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Baturalp Erüstün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Birol Ümit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İlker Uzer having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Mustafa Birol Ümit managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derinkuyu FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustafa Birol Ümit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İlker Uzer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

GakgoşSpor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derinkuyu FK the free kick. During the 67th minute of the match Nusret Şükür completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nusret Şükür a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 68 played minutes GakgoşSpor got a freekick which was hit by Nusret Şükür. İlker Uzer made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Mustafa Birol Ümit sent off a good shot on target. If Mustafa Birol Ümit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, GakgoşSpor's Dursun Önateş got a free kick in the 74th minute. Mustafa Birol Ümit's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İlker Uzer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Mustafa Birol Ümit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İlker Uzer having to interfere. Though ot was a great shot GakgoşSpor's keeper İlker Uzer was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mustafa Birol Ümit got free with İlker Uzer in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 91 minutes into the game, Derinkuyu FK's Baturalp Erüstün nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. İlker Uzer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mustafa Birol Ümit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. GakgoşSpor's İlker Uzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferit Altıparmak in the 96th minute of play. 99 minutes had been played when some careless play by GakgoşSpor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. kaya Bozbey was slow to take the kick. During this time Derinkuyu FK's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Derinkuyu FK's corner kaya Bozbey fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and İlker Uzer quite easily take care of the ball. Despite being the better team, Derinkuyu FK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
