In the 10thth minute of the game Haldun Kuyas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ADANA DEMİR SPOR's Şinasi Ulutay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ramazan Tarab's late challenge caught a Galatasaray's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramazan Tarab helped the player get up and apologised. Ramazan Tarab hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Haldun Kuyas might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şinasi Ulutay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haldun Kuyas ran back to his position shaking his head. After 19 minutes, Hürkan Özkan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galatasaray and the ADANA DEMİR SPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Bedri Bozbey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ADANA DEMİR SPOR's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Haldun Kuyas scored to the left of an out of position Şinasi Ulutay, making the score, 2-0. Umut Tuney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şinasi Ulutay having to interfere. Galatasaray's Haldun Kuyas got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bedri Bozbey made the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umut Tuney couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute Rahmi Taravet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şinasi Ulutay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Galatasaray had played much better football throughout.
