After 6 played minutes Mihalgazi got a freekick which was hit by Çakabey Seylab. 10 minutes into the match, Mihalgazi's Durmuş Hizanlı sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mürsel Ongu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mirza Tekmil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mürsel Ongu having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, XIYCE FC's Bayındır Karaman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boran Akartuna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Durmuş Hizanlı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After having played for 41 minutes, Bayındır Karaman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. XIYCE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bayındır Karaman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arın Ferhat Ayvaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Boran Akartuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Mihalgazi's Boran Akartuna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bayındır Karaman in the 79th minute of play. If Bayındır Karaman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Arın Ferhat Ayvaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boran Akartuna was relentless in the 91st minute of the game.
