The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nando Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jaime Noreña came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Heybeliada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Noreña couldn't finish the play. Haşmet Şensal charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haşmet Şensal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, Marmaris SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haşmet Şensal to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Mustafa Ali Sözer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atilla Tarkan Cantürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Cumhur Turay in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Heybeliada's zone, Haşmet Şensal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilla Tarkan Cantürk came out of the goal and Haşmet Şensal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atilla Tarkan Cantürk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Haşmet Şensal went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute Haşmet Şensal suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Yüksel İnanoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heybeliada's protests and gave Yüksel İnanoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Heybeliada's Yüksel İnanoğlu got a free kick in the 26th minute. The referee ignored Marmaris SK's protests and gave Abbas Siret a yellow card for diving instead. Abbas Siret kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Nando Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Marmaris SK's Hidayet Çetinsu got a free kick in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, Marmaris SK's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Trigo came free, but Derya Akbuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Nando Trigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Heybeliada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 59 minutes into the match, Marmaris SK's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Trigo came free, but Derya Akbuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Nando Trigo notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Marmaris SK's Derya Akbuğ. Derya Akbuğ was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Atilla Tarkan Cantürk was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mustafa Ali Sözer. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustafa Ali Sözer during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Marmaris SK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Heybeliada. Nando Trigo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Derya Akbuğ. 3-1. Nando Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Derya Akbuğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Noreña struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Derya Akbuğ didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heybeliada. Derya Akbuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Noreña in the 85th minute of play. Nando Trigo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Derya Akbuğ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Nando Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derya Akbuğ having to interfere. Jaime Noreña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Derya Akbuğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Noreña in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Derya Akbuğ prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 98th minute, Halit Fahri Hidayet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heybeliada's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
