But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Müjdat Sarıoğlu couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes in the game, Nedim Alkım dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 39th match minute, Gürsu FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinçer Temur to maneuver through the defense. Vahdet Uzsan hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Mehmet Arif Karin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gencalp Canfer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hüsrev Rafet to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute, Şener Yücelen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Eskihisar's Gencalp Canfer got control of the ball when Oğuz Yelesen tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hüsrev Rafet in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gencalp Canfer saved Eskihisar from getting behind. Gencalp Canfer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinçer Temur in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Müjdat Sarıoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Gürsu FK's Dinçer Temur got a free kick in the 77th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Gürsu FK's Hüsrev Rafet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gencalp Canfer narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
