With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şansal Özinal in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şener Yetener saved yavuzeli sk from getting behind. Şener Yetener stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şansal Özinal's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Oğuz Ülke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdet Kadirsah having to interfere. When Burak Ekşioğlu fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denizlispor's protests and gave Burak Ekşioğlu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of yavuzeli sk booed when Denizlispor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Burak Ekşioğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Denizlispor's zone, Oğuz Ülke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vecdet Kadirsah came out of the goal and Oğuz Ülke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, Oğuz Ülke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Denizlispor's goal looked a bit too open when Murat Atlas came free, but Vecdet Kadirsah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saltuk Uran during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Saltuk Uran kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Vecdet Kadirsah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oğuz Ülke in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Denizlispor getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Necati Akçalı hit a great ball. Eray Özguven, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Oğuz Ülke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denizlispor's Vecdet Kadirsah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murat Atlas in the 33rd minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Burak Ekşioğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murat Atlas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Murat Atlas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denizlispor's Özden Turgut got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute Murat Atlas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vecdet Kadirsah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Özden Turgut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute of the match, Murat Atlas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vecdet Kadirsah saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Şansal Özinal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Şener Yetener. yavuzeli sk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Şansal Özinal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 91 minutes into the match, yavuzeli sk's goal looked a bit too open when Özden Turgut came free, but Şener Yetener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şener Yetener showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özden Turgut in the 92nd minute of the match. Vecdet Kadirsah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oğuz Ülke went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
