When Arif Ozan Patlar fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gonyaspor's protests and gave Arif Ozan Patlar a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gonyaspor! Bünyamin Onul's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Knut Myr skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Knut Myr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Engin Çakar in the 33rd minute of play. Cal SK's Alpay Boranalp got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bünyamin Onul got free with Knut Myr in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bünyamin Onul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Knut Myr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Gonyaspor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cal SK were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Engin Çakar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cal SK getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Cal SK's Knut Myr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Engin Çakar in the 83rd minute of play. Bünyamin Onul struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Knut Myr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gonyaspor. After some careless play in the Cal SK defense, Bünyamin Onul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Knut Myr. The Cal SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Knut Myr should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gonyaspor had won after a very even match.
