Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gürol Başesgi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mümin Onsal kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Mehmet Bilge Akbey sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Candir's Kahraman Acun didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gürol Başesgi in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faruk Uçur saved Selamicesme from getting behind. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Candir's goalkeeper Kahraman Acun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th match minute, Candir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mümin Onsal to maneuver through the defense. Gürol Başesgi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Selamicesme's Faruk Uçur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürol Başesgi in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th minute, Mümin Onsal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güntekin Tunçkan in the 31st minute of play forced Candir's goalkeeper Kahraman Acun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Selamicesme's Faruk Uçur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Azim Saltuk in the 33rd minute of play. Faruk Uçur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mümin Onsal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Güntekin Tunçkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kahraman Acun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Candir's zone, Yılmaz Kızılateş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kahraman Acun came out of the goal and Yılmaz Kızılateş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th match minute, Selamicesme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fevzi Uzcan to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Güntekin Tunçkan was the one to do the kick off. Kahraman Acun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yılmaz Kızılateş went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Kahraman Acun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Güntekin Tunçkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Candir's Gürol Başesgi in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Selamicesme's goalie prevented a goal. Kahraman Acun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yılmaz Kızılateş, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Fevzi Uzcan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kahraman Acun having to make a save. In the 80th minute, Güntekin Tunçkan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fuat Pakkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faruk Uçur having to interfere. Azim Saltuk was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Candir's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
