The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Karapinar's goal looked a bit too open when Rahim Yalavaç came free, but Müfit İlksel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karapinar's Songurhan Satılmış got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yakup Kadri Sıratullah to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Karapinar's zone, Adnan Ulutaş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Müfit İlksel came out of the goal and Adnan Ulutaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lacivert FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
