Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kamil Engiay in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mustafa İzzet Nedim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kuzey Erakalın's late challenge caught a Gürsu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kuzey Erakalın helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lacivert FC's Kuzey Erakalın got a free kick in the 17th minute. Berkan Doğanay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mustafa İzzet Nedim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. İsmail Cem Yiğit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mustafa İzzet Nedim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsmail Cem Yiğit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rahim Yalavaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Osman Ali Pekdemir suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Kamil Hüsrev charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. İsmail Cem Yiğit might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa İzzet Nedim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İsmail Cem Yiğit ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamil Engiay in the 36th minute of play forced Lacivert FC's goalkeeper Mustafa İzzet Nedim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that İsmail Cem Yiğit's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mustafa İzzet Nedim was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 40th minute, Adnan Ulutaş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kamil Engiay to make the kick off. If İsmail Cem Yiğit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the game, Kuddusî Oruk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lacivert FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gürsu the free kick. Berkan Doğanay struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. In the 65th minute, Lacivert FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after İsmail Cem Yiğit fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Atıf Şemsi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Mustafa İzzet Nedim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match, Gürsu's goal looked a bit too open when Adnan Ulutaş came free, but Salih Kemal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tolgahan Cesimi charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tolgahan Cesimi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gürsu's Atıf Şemsi got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Kamil Engiay came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Gürsu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kamil Engiay couldn't finish the play. Gürsu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
