But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kerem Yağıztekin couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Rüştü Tuğra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. One of Yorozspor fc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gaziosmanpaşa sk:s goal. The goalkeeper, Seyhan Uğural, was totally fooled by Gaziosmanpaşa sk's Arif Lemi, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cevher Başol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Gaziosmanpaşa sk's zone, Rüştü Tuğra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bahattin Pekdeger came out of the goal and Rüştü Tuğra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute, Kerem Yağıztekin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cevher Başol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kerem Yağıztekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ziya Kamil kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Yorozspor fc's goal looked a bit too open when Baransel Aydoğan came free, but Seyhan Uğural reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
