The audience thought a goal was coming when Hayrettin Yılkan got free with Vecdet Ünsaç in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Atilla Bengialp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ostim's supporters rose to their feet, but Atilla Bengialp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vecdet Ünsaç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24thth minute of the game Mustafa Namık Muhtar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ostim's Akgün Felek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alaaddin Canay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Alaaddin Canay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fenerbahçe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alaaddin Canay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half fenerbahçe were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mustafa Namık Muhtar was the one to do the kick off. If Mustafa Namık Muhtar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Namık Muhtar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Akgün Felek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Refik Mutluer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Mustafa Namık Muhtar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The fenerbahçe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When the match was over fenerbahçe could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ostim throughout the match.
