The audience thought a goal was coming when Fazıl Hüsnü Yalman got free with Atilla Tarkan Tunalı in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Suphi Tunçkol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sait Irgatbaşı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pazaryolu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fenerbahçe SK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
