Mevlüt İmruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute Mümtazer İlhanoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hüseyin Cahit Ortun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Orhan Ehil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lapseki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orhan Ehil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mustafa Kemal Özgenalp hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lapseki booed when Başkent Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Kemal Özgenalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lapseki's Hüseyin Cahit Ortun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mevlüt İmruz in the 38th minute of play. Hüseyin Cahit Ortun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selmi Uruk in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mevlüt İmruz to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match Mümtazer İlhanoğlu climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Hüseyin Cahit Ortun. In the 64th match minute, Başkent Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Selmi Uruk to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Ali Erdem Mutluay in the 68th minute really tested Hüseyin Cahit Ortun's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Başkent Futbol booed when Lapseki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdülhak Pınar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ali Numan Ongunalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Orhan Ehil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necmi Aysan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Orhan Ehil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lapseki's supporters rose to their feet, but Orhan Ehil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Necmi Aysan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orhan Ehil in the 83rd minute of play forced Başkent Futbol's goalkeeper Necmi Aysan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orhan Ehil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Necmi Aysan having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Lapseki's goal looked a bit too open when Mevlüt İmruz came free, but Hüseyin Cahit Ortun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mümtazer İlhanoğlus short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Hüseyin Cahit Ortun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Başkent Futbol players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
