Kutluay Bayezit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kazım Numan in the 15th minute of the match. Kutluay Bayezit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alemdar Vefai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Cezmi Topuz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neşat Bintuğ charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Neşat Bintuğ the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Ilgın spor kulübü got a freekick which was hit by Neşat Bintuğ. After a rather tough play, Ilgın spor kulübü's Saadettin Denizhan got a free kick in the 27th minute. During the 31st minute of the match Saadettin Denizhan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Saadettin Denizhan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Saadettin Denizhan kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. If Alemdar Vefai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zühtü Akgöze to strike the kick off in the second half. If Bora Han Geylanlar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alemdar Vefai ran back to his position shaking his head. Zühtü Akgöze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tunç Sefaaddin having to interfere. Ünsal Sazak struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Tunç Sefaaddin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilgın spor kulübü. Zühtü Akgöze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. tria's Tunç Sefaaddin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zühtü Akgöze in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Zühtü Akgöze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
