If Karahan Ülgü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Altan Akyüz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karahan Ülgü in the 15th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Korkut Ungan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Altan Akyüz. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baykam Erginer in the 20th minute of play forced MetehanBaBa SK's goalkeeper Avni Çelebioğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, MetehanBaBa SK's Cemil İren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Altan Akyüz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karahan Ülgü to make the kick off. Avni Çelebioğlu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sabit Tayfun. Acar Saylan kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. With a little luck, MetehanBaBa SK's Avni Çelebioğlu got control of the ball when Baykam Erginer tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Karahan Ülgü's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Altan Akyüz was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
