After 6 played minutes Erdemli JK got a freekick which was hit by Gürhan Namık. Ferit Ceviz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mahsun Yazar's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Ferit Ceviz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hüsrev Tunçdağ showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. If Gürhan Namık had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Muharrem Oncel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuna Dikici having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Sabahattin Aktaşlı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atilla Tarkan Buğdaycı blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tuna Dikici having to make a save. Ferit Ceviz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mahsun Yazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Fikret Erdemer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferit Ceviz having to interfere. Ahmet Fikret Erdemer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferit Ceviz having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Erdemli JK's goalkeeper Ferit Ceviz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Fikret Erdemer. Mahsun Yazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Erdemli JK's Arda Ozan Kadi got a free kick in the 35th minute. Erdemli JK's Tuncay Üngörmüş got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Sabahattin Aktaşlı fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celtik JK's protests and gave Sabahattin Aktaşlı a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Ali Emir Yağıztekin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Celtik JK's Tuna Dikici didn't even have to move. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Muharrem Oncel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Fikret Erdemer took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferit Ceviz. Ferit Ceviz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 63rd minute, Gürhan Namık hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Fikret Erdemer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ferit Ceviz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tuna Dikici made an important save on a dangerous shot by Muharrem Oncel in the 74th minute. Muharrem Oncel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Celtik JK's Sabahattin Aktaşlı got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th match minute, Celtik JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mahsun Yazar to maneuver through the defense. Mahsun Yazar's late challenge caught a Erdemli JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mahsun Yazar helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Celtik JK got a freekick which was hit by Mahsun Yazar. 84 minutes into the match, Celtik JK's goalkeeper Tuna Dikici had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Muharrem Oncel. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tuncay Üngörmüş during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Celtik JK booed when Erdemli JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tuncay Üngörmüş didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Celtik JK had won after a very even match.
