After 6 minutes KASTAMONUSPOR 1966's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Çağdaş Esenboğa who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Kıvanç Ersayın heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Kıvanç Ersayın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ali Macit Baykut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Çağdaş Esenboğa made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by KASTAMONUSPOR 1966's Baybars Azimoğlu. Rıfkı Rekin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kenan Demirel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ali Macit Baykut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KASTAMONUSPOR 1966's Ali Macit Baykut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kıvanç Ersayın in the 20th minute of play. Ali Macit Baykut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafettin Adıyaman, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, KASTAMONUSPOR 1966's goal looked a bit too open when Rıfkı Rekin came free, but Ali Macit Baykut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafettin Adıyaman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ali Macit Baykut stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafettin Adıyaman's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When Kenan Demirel came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the ARTVİN SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenan Demirel couldn't finish the play. Kenan Demirel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Macit Baykut having to interfere. Ali Macit Baykut didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rıfkı Rekin went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.

In the 51st minute, Kıvanç Ersayın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind KASTAMONUSPOR 1966's goalkeeper Ali Macit Baykut, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Çağdaş Esenboğa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Macit Baykut having to interfere. In the 65th minute, ARTVİN SK's Rafettin Adıyaman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ali Macit Baykut. Ali Macit Baykut yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kıvanç Ersayın got free with Ali Macit Baykut in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, ARTVİN SK's Rafettin Adıyaman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Macit Baykut narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th match minute, KASTAMONUSPOR 1966 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baybars Azimoğlu to maneuver through the defense. ARTVİN SK played a much better game than KASTAMONUSPOR 1966 and deserved their victory. The KASTAMONUSPOR 1966 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
