Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, İhsan Baykır had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erdinç Hasret. Nisantasi FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that İhsan Baykır was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Erdinç Hasret came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ankaragücü's İhsan Baykır. But to his dismay, İhsan Baykır quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melih Ayyıldız in the 26th minute of play forced Nisantasi FK's goalkeeper Erdinç Hasret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Erdinç Hasret successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 34th play minutes İhsan Baykır shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Erdinç Hasret and just under the crossbar into goal. Erdinç Hasret made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when İhsan Baykır sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the game, Melih Ayyıldız lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Erdinç Hasret. Aktan Sarp struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Eray Baybora didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nisantasi FK. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute, İhsan Baykır made a precise shot to the right of Erdinç Hasret. Nisantasi FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Ankaragücü's İhsan Baykır got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gencal Pehlivan's late challenge caught a Nisantasi FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gencal Pehlivan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ankaragücü getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gencal Pehlivan hit a great ball. Faik Açar charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faik Açar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes Nisantasi FK got a freekick which was hit by Faik Açar. In the 64th minute Melih Ayyıldız shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erdinç Hasret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Ankaragücü's goal looked a bit too open when Aktan Sarp came free, but Eray Baybora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Melih Ayyıldız had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the game, Aykut Tümenbay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nisantasi FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ankaragücü the free kick. A collision led to Nisantasi FK getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Aykut Tümenbay hit a great ball. When Ankaragücü's İhsan Baykır in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nisantasi FK's goalie prevented a goal. Melih Ayyıldız sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nisantasi FK's Erdinç Hasret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İhsan Baykır in the 88th minute of play. Melih Ayyıldız received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Erdinç Hasret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erdinç Hasret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İhsan Baykır in the 96th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ankaragücü fully deserved thier win.
