Eray Baybora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zafer Pamiroğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zafer Pamiroğlu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Eray Baybora when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zafer Pamiroğlu in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eray Baybora, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ankaragücü's Melih Ayyıldız got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Halil İbrahim Okkan fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ankaragücü's protests and gave Halil İbrahim Okkan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ankaragücü getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alphan Hisar hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İhsan Baykır in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gürsel Ongunsu saved Turkuaz SK from getting behind. Gürsel Ongunsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İhsan Baykır, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yaşar Cesur during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Turkuaz SK got a freekick which was hit by Yaşar Cesur. In the 43rd minute Melih Ayyıldız shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gürsel Ongunsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zafer Pamiroğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Eray Baybora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ankaragücü's Eray Baybora proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Ankaragücü from getting a goal against them.

Şeray Nesip hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Celil İldemir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turkuaz SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Celil İldemir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eray Baybora breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Turkuaz SK's zone, İhsan Baykır stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gürsel Ongunsu came out of the goal and İhsan Baykır tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Yaşar Cesur was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. After 58 played minutes Turkuaz SK got a freekick which was hit by Yaşar Cesur. Şadi Urkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eray Baybora having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Melih Ayyıldız managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ankaragücü's supporters rose to their feet, but Melih Ayyıldız was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 77th match minute, Ankaragücü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yenal Özerol to maneuver through the defense. After 79 played minutes Turkuaz SK got a freekick which was hit by Zafer Pamiroğlu. İhsan Baykır recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute Şadi Urkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eray Baybora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Melih Ayyıldız got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melih Ayyıldız blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gürsel Ongunsu having to make a save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
