In the 3rd minute Semavi Metin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gani Tanuğur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Semavi Metin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Güntekin Durualp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Semavi Metin came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Kadıköy Futbol Klübü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Semavi Metin couldn't finish the play. Fehmi Tonguç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Semavi Metin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gani Tanuğur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fehmi Tonguç went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Kadıköy Futbol Klübü's Güntekin Durualp got a free kick in the 27th minute. Fehmi Tonguç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fehmi Tonguç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fehmi Tonguç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gani Tanuğur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fehmi Tonguç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gani Tanuğur having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Aras Uçbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 44 minutes of play, Cermik JK's Şensoy Cuma made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Balamir Sarif was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Semavi Metin made a kick off. When Şensoy Cuma fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cermik JK's protests and gave Şensoy Cuma a yellow card for diving instead. Semavi Metin struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Gani Tanuğur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kadıköy Futbol Klübü. 56 minutes into the game, Semavi Metin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kadıköy Futbol Klübü's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cermik JK the free kick. In the 56th minute, Semavi Metin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the game, Kadıköy Futbol Klübü's Fehmi Tonguç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gani Tanuğur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 64th minute, Tekin İrem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 71 in the game by Tekin İrem from a close distance when the talented Balamir Sarif managed to make a qualified save. Kadıköy Futbol Klübü's players were relieved. After 73 played minutes Kadıköy Futbol Klübü got a freekick which was hit by Güntekin Durualp. After a defensive mix-up in Cermik JK's zone, Fehmi Tonguç stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gani Tanuğur came out of the goal and Fehmi Tonguç tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, Şensoy Cuma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gani Tanuğur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semavi Metin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tekin İrem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tekin İrem came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Cermik JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tekin İrem couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kadıköy Futbol Klübü had played much better football throughout.
