The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angel Felipo's late challenge caught a LYON FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Bircan Işıker got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-1. 42 minutes into the match. Izydor Madej charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Izydor Madej the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Karadeniz 28's Izydor Madej got a free kick in the 46th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Halis Türkmen in the 47th minute of play forced Karadeniz 28's goalkeeper Alican Ulumeriç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Izydor Madej made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Izydor Madej got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 58 minutes, Izydor Madej managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karadeniz 28's supporters crossed their fingers, but Izydor Madej was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Izydor Madej blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmet Ege Gülsoy having to make a save. Gürel Özerek hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Izydor Madej shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Ege Gülsoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Izydor Madej had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmet Ege Gülsoy. LYON FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Izydor Madej was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. 81 minutes into the game, Yakut Özçınar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karadeniz 28's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LYON FC the free kick. The supporters of LYON FC booed when Karadeniz 28 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökalp Kocakalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 played minutes Karadeniz 28 got a freekick which was hit by İbrahim Efe Kutal. İsmail Cem Ulvi hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Izydor Madej might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ahmet Ege Gülsoy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Izydor Madej ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, LYON FC's goal looked a bit too open when Izydor Madej came free, but Ahmet Ege Gülsoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LYON FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
