Cuma Sökmen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Hafız Kaynak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kahraman Kutun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Metin İlkut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Metin İlkut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kahraman Kutun having to interfere. Arın Yildıran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Arın Yildıran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Tokmak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arın Yildıran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Bilgehan Cihangir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cuma Sökmen. FC Tokmak's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bilgehan Cihangir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Arın Yildıran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Kahraman Kutun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arın Yildıran to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Sefa Şömel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Tokmak's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ekinözü the free kick. The supporters of Ekinözü booed when FC Tokmak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sefa Şömel didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peker Berin in the 58th minute of play forced FC Tokmak's goalkeeper Cuma Sökmen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
