In the 4th minute, Şenel Rüştü sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sivas Spor's Berker Rıza Öztekin didn't even have to move. Birol Gazir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Özkan Hurmacı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sivas Spor made a substitution. Cengizhan Sanal replaced Sakut Tüzüner. In the 11th minute, Cengizhan Sanal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Sivas Spor booed when Cudispor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vefa Tekrim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Özkan Hurmacı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birol Gazir in the 18th minute of play. Ahmet Gündüz Sami hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Özkan Hurmacı acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Birol Gazir. Birol Gazir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Özkan Hurmacı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Cengizhan Sanal suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 27th minute, one of Cudispor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cudispor. The goalkeeper, Özkan Hurmacı, was totally fooled by Sivas Spor's Birol Gazir, who 31 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birol Gazir in the 41st minute of play forced Cudispor's goalkeeper Özkan Hurmacı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Bedri Eryetiş kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmet Orhan Kongar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Cudispor booed when Sivas Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Bedri Eryetiş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa İzzet Işın charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mustafa İzzet Işın the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, Cudispor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa İzzet Işın to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cudispor's Ahmet Orhan Kongar got a free kick in the 57th minute. Özkan Hurmacı came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Sivas Spor's Birol Gazir. But to his dismay, Birol Gazir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Özkan Hurmacı didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gazanfer Özcan Okcan went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Sivas Spor defense, Vefa Tekrim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berker Rıza Öztekin. The Sivas Spor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berker Rıza Öztekin should have stopped the shot. Özkan Hurmacı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birol Gazir in the 89th minute of play. Mustafa İzzet Işın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Berker Rıza Öztekin made a huge save. Birol Gazir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özkan Hurmacı having to interfere. Sivas Spor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
