Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gelibolu's Kandemir Nezihi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tophane's Necmi Ünveren got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Necmi Ünveren in the 5th minute of play forced Gelibolu's goalkeeper Çağan Umural to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kandemir Nezihi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Özgün Akgüneş hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Ahmet Koralp Akçan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th minute Mehmet Çağrı Suphi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilla Kağan Kırgız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Gelibolu's goal looked a bit too open when Necmi Ünveren came free, but Çağan Umural reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Necmi Ünveren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tophane fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 31 played minutes, Gelibolu's Celal Orgun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Atilla Kağan Kırgız came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gelibolu reached it. In the 31st minute, İhsan Afak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kandemir Nezihi struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Atilla Kağan Kırgız didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gelibolu. Atilla Kağan Kırgız came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Gelibolu's Mehmet Çağrı Suphi. But to his dismay, Mehmet Çağrı Suphi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mehmet Çağrı Suphi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Necmi Ünveren made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Necmi Ünveren fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Çağan Umural, passed just outside the right post. If Mehmet Çağrı Suphi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kandemir Nezihi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilla Kağan Kırgız having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Kandemir Nezihi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atilla Kağan Kırgız. Tophane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kandemir Nezihi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Gelibolu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Necmi Ünveren scored to the left of an out of position Çağan Umural, making the score, 2-2. A collision led to Tophane getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. İhsan Afak hit a great ball. Atilla Kağan Kırgız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Çağrı Suphi in the 75th minute of the match. Kandemir Nezihi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Atilla Kağan Kırgız tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Suphi Bintuğ during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Suphi Bintuğ kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Kandemir Nezihi struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Atilla Kağan Kırgız didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gelibolu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Çağrı Suphi in the 83rd minute of play forced Tophane's goalkeeper Atilla Kağan Kırgız to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Koralp Akçan got free with Çağan Umural in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Necmi Ünveren got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
