The referee ignored Genclerbirligi's protests and gave Bora Gürgan a yellow card for diving instead. Bora Gürgan kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haydar Temizer in the 13th minute of play forced Bahceköy's goalkeeper Korhan Naim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Haydar Temizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haydar Temizer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. Genclerbirligi's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 20th minute, Hayyam Sunguralp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oğuzer Kunter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Polat Sönmezalp in the 24th minute of play. Haydar Temizer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Korhan Naim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bahceköy's goalkeeper Korhan Naim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Haydar Temizer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Korhan Naim came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Genclerbirligi's Tuna Özdel. But to his dismay, Tuna Özdel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After having played for 43 minutes, Hayyam Sunguralp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genclerbirligi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayyam Sunguralp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muhammet Yaruk in the 45th minute of play forced Bahceköy's goalkeeper Korhan Naim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Korhan Naim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hayyam Sunguralp in the 52nd minute of play. Bahceköy's Korhan Naim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haydar Temizer in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute Haydar Temizer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korhan Naim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 minutes, İskender Baki Sağcan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahceköy and the Genclerbirligi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Genclerbirligi booed when Bahceköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. İskender Baki Sağcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bahceköy's goalkeeper Korhan Naim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Haydar Temizer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Genclerbirligi's supporters rose to their feet, but Haydar Temizer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Korhan Naim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Korhan Naim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haydar Temizer's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Hayyam Sunguralp made a precise shot to the right of Korhan Naim. Bahceköy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Bahceköy's Korhan Naim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haydar Temizer in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Genclerbirligi's Haydar Temizer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Korhan Naim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haydar Temizer in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Korhan Naim saved Bahceköy from getting behind. In the 89th match minute, Genclerbirligi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuna Özdel to maneuver through the defense. Bahceköy's Korhan Naim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayyam Sunguralp in the 92nd minute of play. The referee gave Genclerbirligi a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Taner Nuratay, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bahceköy's Korhan Naim. 5-0. There was no doubt that Genclerbirligi were the better team. Genclerbirligi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
