Beşiktaş JK's Yakup Rical played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Ediz Kınıkaslan in the 33rd minute of play. Yakup Rical made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umut Şükür in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Mehmet Ediz Kınıkaslan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yakup Rical saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orhan Satır was the one to do the kick off. In the 81st minute, Umut Şükür ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yakup Rical was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Mehmet Ediz Kınıkaslan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehmet Ediz Kınıkaslan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yakup Rical having to interfere. Dicle JK played a much better game than Beşiktaş JK and deserved their victory. The Beşiktaş JK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
