Trabzonspor FC's Sarper Gürgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selçuk Kurboga in the 22nd minute of play. Dilmen Uygun might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aykut Balamir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dilmen Uygun ran back to his position shaking his head. Niyazi Yakup in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Sarper Gürgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selçuk Kurboga in the 31st minute of play. Akhisarspor's Aykut Balamir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dilmen Uygun in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Dilmen Uygun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trabzonspor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dilmen Uygun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aykut Balamir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor FC's goalkeeper Sarper Gürgan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niyazi Yakup. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Sarper Gürgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selçuk Kurboga, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Selçuk Kurboga took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sarper Gürgan. Sarper Gürgan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With his leg Aykut Balamir managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Trabzonspor FC's Dilmen Uygun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 65 minutes, Kartal Temur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kartal Temur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aykut Balamir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dilmen Uygun's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Dilmen Uygun might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aykut Balamir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dilmen Uygun ran back to his position shaking his head. Kartal Temur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Aykut Balamir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kuzey Tunçboğa kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The long shot by Ant Özerdem in the 80th minute really tested Aykut Balamir's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Dilmen Uygun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85thth minute of the game Dilmen Uygun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Akhisarspor's Aykut Balamir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aykut Balamir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dilmen Uygun's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Faruk Nafiz Abdulhakimoğlu hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Dilmen Uygun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aykut Balamir having to make a save. In the 93rd play minute Ahmet Kutsi Kutbay came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aykut Balamir. 2-3.
