The referee ignored Sehzadepasa's protests and gave Serbülent Sıbgatullah a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, Sehzadepasa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serbülent Sıbgatullah to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute Mevlüt Suer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sarper Gürgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trabzonspor FC's Sarper Gürgan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Trabzonspor FC from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the game, Trabzonspor FC's Atacan Tokhan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Emir İlke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 21st minute, Mevlüt Suer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sarper Gürgan. The goal made the score 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Atacan Tokhan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trabzonspor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Atacan Tokhan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Emir İlke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute Dilmen Uygun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Emir İlke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mevlüt Suer came free, but Sarper Gürgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atacan Tokhan in the 41st minute of play forced Sehzadepasa's goalkeeper Ahmet Emir İlke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dilmen Uygun in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Emir İlke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Trabzonspor FC booed when Sehzadepasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vahap Titiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sehzadepasa's Ahmet Emir İlke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atacan Tokhan in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dilmen Uygun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Emir İlke came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Trabzonspor FC's Dilmen Uygun. But to his dismay, Dilmen Uygun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Sehzadepasa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Atacan Tokhan scored to the left of an out of position Ahmet Emir İlke, making the score, 2-3. The supporters of Trabzonspor FC booed when Sehzadepasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pekin Dilşah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kartal Temur in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Emir İlke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atacan Tokhan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmet Emir İlke having to make a save. Çağdaş Yuvakuran kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ahmet Emir İlke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atacan Tokhan in the 87th minute of the match. With his leg Ahmet Emir İlke managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Trabzonspor FC's Dilmen Uygun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Atacan Tokhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Emir İlke having to interfere. Dilmen Uygun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dilmen Uygun in the 96th minute of play forced Sehzadepasa's goalkeeper Ahmet Emir İlke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
