The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Okanalp Kavaş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute, Okanalp Kavaş ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kandemir Tura was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Okanalp Kavaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Bilge Cebeci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdurrezzak Devrim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kandemir Tura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berkem İmdat's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
