Yusuf Derelioğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muharrem Hacıfettahoğlu in the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Kula's Fahri Osmanoğlu got a free kick in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Turgay Tuney got free with Yusuf Derelioğlu in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, Kula's Ünal Adal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Selman Yıldızhan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Kirikkale players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kula were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Muharrem Hacıfettahoğlu was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Kirikkale's Selman Yıldızhan got control of the ball when Tekin Ergökmen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Kirikkale booed when Kula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sefa Patlar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th match minute, Kirikkale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turgay Tuney to maneuver through the defense. In the 99th minute, Kirikkale's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tekin Ergökmen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the final whistle sounded Kula left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kirikkale.
